Also I would advise making more room in your farm than I had since you'll need more Waterleaf than one row will produce, trust me. Housing UpgradesĪs soon as you can I would recommend making an herb farm. While you can make one with clay pots, they are much more efficient with Planter boxes since they function as platforms and don't need a block under them, as shown here.
Don't put pointless banners up though, if you really want them up then make a room or two somewhere specifically for them. The path under the house is meant for storing Banners, which will make defending yourself much easier while you're there. Your crafting stations can be in a small room under the path below your housing to, it doesn't really matter where they are so long as they aren't in the path. Also, this design can be a bit wood intensive so worry about the back walls after you've got the frame set up. Now, the reason for doing this is that YOU CAN get into your house, but annoying monsters CAN'T. You can in fact still get into your house by jumping against the edge of the block at the end of those platforms, don't ask me how that works but it does. (dirt blocks are there to show it's 7 blocks up).
